Microscopy and Microanalysis software library.
There are a whole host of useful periodic table
websites. Here are a few selections:-
Generate your own custom periodic table.
Includes lots of formatting options and the ability to import custom
data.
This table
includes link-outs to X-ray cross-sections, edge energies, edge jumps
and fluorescent yields.
A colouful
table with link-outs to electron binding energies and K and L
emmission lines.
A comprehensive
list of links to lots of periodic tables.
An intriguing
version of the periodic table plotted with respect to ion states.
Requires Chimes plugin to use interactive features.
Lots
of options for plotting the table in different formats (e.g. Stowe,
Benfey etc...), and for plotting graphs of user selected parameters (Note: The plotting options weren't
working when I last checked).
Link-outs
to lots of physical properties, including electron structures.
Useful Stuff
Here are a couple of MS Excel spreadsheets
that you might find useful for plotting data:-
The first, ternplot,
allows you to plot three components A, B, C, against each other on a
ternary diagram.
The second, tetplot,
accepts four components A, B, C, D, and generates a stereo pair of your
data in a tetrahedral axis frame.
If you have any programs you think might be useful and wish to share with your EMAS colleagues let me know.
